Stop! Read This First
Hello my name is Amber Mae. My first symptoms of ulcerative colitis began the day after my 20th birthday. Within four years I had to have a total colectomy.
I started a blog as a way to promote my participation in Get Your Guts In Gear: The ride for Crohn's and colitis. I was happily pedeling along, raising awareness and whatnot, when I discovered I was pregnant.
I've discontinued the GYGIG blog, mainly because I am no longer riding, and rolled it over into The Colitis Conversationalist blog. While I recommend reading from the beginning, please keep in mind the first posts are from when I was training. My goal is now to address my life past and present with colitis.

That is not the face Eric made when I told him the news, but it was pretty close... Today is the day we can finally tell people. Good thing, too. I really think my tongue was going to break my teeth trying to break loose to spread the word.
